KUALA LUMPUR: Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah gave China's world No. 1 pair Chen Qing Chen-Jia Yi Fan a scare before losing their women's doubles semi-final at the Paris Olympics on Friday.
The world No. 12 pair put up a brilliant fight in their 21-12, 18-21, 21-15 defeat to the Chinese duo, the silver medallists at Tokyo 2020, at Porte de la Chapelle Arena.
Although Pearly-Thinaah are not in the final, they might still return with a medal if they win the bronze medal playoff on Saturday.
