Aaron-Khai Xing crowned world junior badminton champions

KUALA LUMPUR: Boys' doubles Aaron Tai-Kang Khai Xing ended Malaysia's six-year wait for a world junior title with a stunning victory in Nanchang today.

The top seeds overcame China's Hu Ke Yuan-Lin Xiang Yi 21-18, 15-21, 21-18 to clinch the boys' doubles crown at the World Junior Championships.

It marks Malaysia's first world junior crown since Goh Jin Wei triumphed in the girls' singles in Ontario, Canada, in 2018.

Meanwhile, Dania Sofea Zaidi-Low Zi Yu settled for silver in the girls' doubles, losing 21-17, 21-17 to Japan's Ririna Hiramoto-Aya Tamaki.
