[UPDATED] Jun Hao troubled by Chinese southpaw

KUALA LUMPUR: There were no repeat heroics from Malaysia's Leong Jun Hao at the India Open today in New Delhi.

After Jun Hao shocked China's Asian Games champion and world No. 6 Li Shifeng in the first round on Tuesday, fans were hoping for another great show from the world No. 28.

However, Jun Hao, 25, lost to Chinese southpaw Weng Hongyang 21-18, 21-12 in the second round of the men's singles.

Jun Hao said Hongyang's left-handed play troubled him and that his game plan didn't work well.

"Maybe in the front corner it troubled me and maybe it took away some momentum of my game.

"He's a left-hander also, probably the angles of his shots were different."

Ironically, Jun Hao is set to run into Hongyang again in the Indonesia Masters first round next week.
