Felcra withdraw from M-League

KUALA LUMPUR: Felcra FC have withdrawn from next season’s M-League.

Felcra Berhad chairman Datuk Mohd Nageeb Abdul Wahab confirmed this today.

The club surprised many by finishing second in the Premier League behind Felda United in the recent season.

“The team will be disbanded. We do not see it as a feasible venture to spend RM8 million in play in the league,” said Nageeb.

With their withdrawal, Mifa, who finished third in the Premier League, could now be handed the opportunity to replace Felcra in the Super League next season.

Malaysia Football League source said they have not receive confirmation from Felcra on their withdrawal.

However, Felcra, which was formed four years ago, still have the time to reconsider as teams have until Nov 15 to confirm their participation in next season’s M-League.
