KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan FA (KAFA) have roped in former Negri Sembilan player Flavio Beck Junior for the coming new season to complete their quota of foreign imports.
The 31-year-old versatile Brazilian, who can play in either midfield and attack, began his playing career in Southeast Asia by first turning out for Borneo FC in Indonesia League One for the 2016/2017 season before moving to Negri Sembilan last year.
KAFA president, Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said that they offered the Brazilian a one year contract which the player accepted.
“Flavio’s presence will most definitely bolster the team especially on attack for the coming Premier League season.
“We are hoping that Flavio will make full use of his vast playing experience here and elsewhere to help guide Kelantan’s other forwards, especially the younger players,” said Bibi when contacted here earlier today (Tuesday).
Flavio’s versatility in being able to slot in comfortably either in the middle of the park or upfront is expected improve the team in terms of cohesion while also improving the partnership between Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat and Nik Azli Nik Alias.
