KOTA BARU: The Red Warriors (TRW) former captain, Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi, who is also known as Piya, has made a comeback to the football scene by joining Kelantan United for the remainder of the M3-League season this year.
Kelantan United president Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi said the appearance of Piya proved the management's seriousness in realising the team’s ambition to play in the Premier League next season.
"I believe the presence of the experienced player will add strength to Kelantan United to tackle the remaining season.
"Apart from Bahdri, we also brought in some players who have experience in the local league which includes Mohd Nizab Ayub (Perak), Mohd Azrean Aziz (T-Team), Wan Mohamad Ridhwan Deraman (Kelantan) and Mohd Ainan Yusoff (Kelantan President Cup)," he said here Monday.
The team also brought in a Gambian player, Alfusainey Gassamu, to strengthen Kelantan United's attacking line.
After completing seven matches, Kelantan United are in third place in the M3 League standings with 16 points from five wins and one defeat. They are just three points adrift of the current leaders, Kuching FA. -- BERNAMA
