WHEN German coach Frank Bernhardt left Malaysia two years ago, it wasn’t exactly on a happy note.
In 2017, Bernhardt was unceremoniously removed by FAM as the national Under-22 coach just after a year.
Now, Bernhardt is back in Malaysia and he was unveiled as the new coach of UiTM FC yesterday.
He will be leading the university side in their Super League debut.
UiTM FC have made it to the Malaysia Book of Records as the first university to play in all the competitions in the M-League.
Bernhardt admitted he is just happy to be back in Malaysia.
On his return here, the German said:‘I don’t have anything to prove.I am really happy to work here in Malaysia again.
‘I know that the Super League is really tough and there’s a lot of work to do. But there’s potential in the (UiTM) players that I see.
‘There’s still the process of finding other players in a week or 10 days.
‘I have seen more than 40 players. There are new players coming every day.’
