The Malaysian Football League (MFL) yesterday claimed that all M-League teams are adhering to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).
The football body denied that some teams were flouting the Covid-19 rules.
On Friday, a Premier League player had alleged that his team were not conducting swab tests, based on MFL's requirement, before matches.
The team, who are also facing financial difficulties, had to cancel training recently as several players and coaches tested positive for Covid-19.
MFL chief executive officer Datuk Ghani Hassan clarified that the RTK-Antigen (RTK-Ag) and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests were not required for matches held at Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) locations.
However, he added that teams are required to test their players at least once every seven days.
Clubs must also monitor the players' MySejahtera application.
"We are aware of the Premier League team's Covid-19 cases. However, upon checking, we concluded that they are following the SOP.
"We also checked that their most recent match was played in a CMCO location and that their opponents did not record positive cases," said Ghani.
"It is hard to ascertain the source of infection. That is why we need players to be careful.
"All teams should check their players' MySejahtera application every three days to track their movement. We have also reminded teams to practice self-discipline when using the home-based training bubble.
"However, following the rise in Covid-19 cases, teams will have to shift to the camp-based bubble as it offers better protection.
"Players will have to undergo antigen tests before getting into the bubble."
Ghani confirmed that teams must obtain permission from the police before organising friendly matches behind closed doors.
"They will have to notify us of the location if they are starting camp-based training."
Apart from the Premier League team, Kelantan and Kuching FA also recorded Covid-19 positive cases.
Two Kelantan players were tested positive after their recent Premier League game against Selangor FC II while Kuching had five cases last year.
