MELAKA United Soccer Association are still bogged down by financial issues even before the start of the new M-League season.
The Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) have slammed the Super League outfit for not settling their players' salary arrears.
In 2020 and 2021, Melaka were docked three Super League points for failing to settle their dues to players.
The Mousedeer also nearly got their 2021 club licence revoked but managed to clear their "third party" debts with the Employees Provident Fund and Inland Revenue Board.
Melaka's poor payment record also saw them being given only a conditional licence for the 2022 season.
But they were also slapped with a RM15,000 fine for failing to settle their payments before the deadline.
PFAM alleged that Melaka have once again failed to pay their players wages.
"PFAM are in solidarity with Melaka United's senior and President's Cup teams.
"They have not paid their senior team players three months in wages and their President's Cup players for two and half months," said a PFAM statement.
"We have sent a demand notice to the Melaka United management to settle the arrears before Jan 19.
"We want teams to take the salary payment issue seriously, and this is not the first-time involving Melaka United.
"The players have cooperated and understood the management's situation by giving ample time to them to solve it. "We hope the issue is settled soon."
