KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's South Korean Park Tae Su is in great form, and this spells danger for Selangor in the FA Cup quarter-finals tomorrow.
Sabah coach Ong Kim Swee said Tae Su is a much different player now compared to last season.
Although the 32-year-old utility player is still nursing a calf injury, Kim Swee hopes Tae Su can still take to the field at Likas tomorrow.
"Park is definitely different than last season. He's been working really hard in training and is motivated.
"He has the Korean mentality to fight for a place in the team. So, I am happy for him and when you have a utility player like him, it will benefit any team," said Kim Swee.
The Incheon-born Park, who has been with Sabah since 2019, is in fine form this season, scoring six goals and recording one assist in 13 games (11 Super League and two FA Cup) for the Rhinos.
With the Rhinos running strong on a Korean engine, Sabah have surged up the Super League table into second place.
Kim Swee said although Selangor haven't been doing well this season, they have shown improvement in recent games.
"Selangor have a big pool of players where they have nine foreigners to go up and down.
"This is going to be a tough game for us."
