KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Selangor may meet again in this year's Malaysia Cup final in December.
The Southern Tigers and the Red Giants were separated in the draw yesterday in the competition which will kick off in August.
Last year, Selangor went down 2-1 to JDT in the final.
Selangor should beat Police in the two-legged round of 16.
However, Kelantan face an early Malaysia Cup exit as they are drawn to play JDT first.
Sri Pahang and Terengganu are drawn to play against M3 League sides, to be announced later.
