KUALA LUMPUR: As fans slammed FAM for Malaysia's poor show in the Under-23 Asian Cup, the national body said they will wait for a report on the team from head coach Juan Torres Garrido before taking any action.
Malaysia lost all their group matches, 2-0 to both Uzbekistan and Vietnam, and 2-1 to Kuwait.
FAM secretary-general Datuk Noor Azman Rahman said today Garrido's report will be given to the national team committee, chaired by FAM president Datuk Hamidin Amin.
"I cannot comment on the team yet as we have not received any report from coach Juan Torres Garrido. He will send his report to the national team committee, and actions will be taken accordingly," said Azman.
