Selangor want burglars to be caught soon

KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor FC have urged the public to stop speculating about recent incidents involving their players.

In a statement on Thursday about the burglary at the house of their player, Khuzaimi Piee, Selangor said it is urgent that the perpetrators be caught soon.

The break-in at Khuzaimi's house came after the horrific acid attack on their star Faisal Halim and threats made to team officials this month.

"Fortunately, Khuzaimi and his family are unharmed. A police report has been filed, and the club advises the public to refrain from making speculations and to leave the investigation to the authorities.

"The club is deeply disappointed by what has happened and strongly condemns any form of crime.

"We pray for the safety and well-being of Khuzaimi and his family, and we hope the perpetrators will be apprehended and brought to justice."

Khuzaimi's house in Shah Alam was broken into on Wednesday while he was out for training with his club. The thieves stole four branded sling bags, a motorcycle and his passport.
