KUALA LUMPUR: Sabah need funds to sign six import players for their maiden Asian Women's Champions League (AWCL) challenge, starting with the playoffs in October.
The team secured their place after clinching the National Women's League title last year.
Sabah restarted training under their coach Justin Ganai last month to prepare for the AWCL.
"We have recalled several Sabah-born players, who played for other local clubs last year, to strengthen our squad for this new challenge," said Justin.
"However, we have to find money to sign six import players for the AWCL. The tournament allows each team to sign a maximum of six imports."
The draw for the competition will be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 18.
