MITROVIC DOUBLE DOWNS AL-ITTIHAD AS AL-HILAL REMAIN PERFECT

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored twice as Al-Hilal sealed a 3-1 win over Al-Ittihad to remain the only team with a perfect record four games into the new Saudi Pro League season.

Mitrovic put his side in front in the third minute with a downward header, doubled their lead from the spot 11 minutes later before Salem Al-Dawsari hit the third in the 37th minute.

Karim Benzema scored an 86th minute consolation.

Al-Ittihad remain second, level on nine points with Al-Shabab, who defeated Al-Taawoun 1-0, and Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq, who were beaten 3-0 by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr.

LATE WU GOAL MAINTAINS PORT'S LEAD AFTER SEVEN-GOAL THRILLER

Wu Lei scored six minutes from time to give Shanghai Port a 4-3 win over Changchun Yatai on Saturday and maintain their two-point lead in the Chinese Super League.

Port were 2-0 up inside the opening 10 minutes thanks to an own goal from Stoppila Sunzu and a second by Gustavo before Robert Beric pulled one back. Wu hit Port's third but a brace from Tan Long drew Changchun level before Wu's winner.

Shanghai Shenhua remained in touch in second place as Yu Hanchao scored twice in the final two minutes to seal a 2-1 win over Tianjin Tiger.

ARSLAN HITS DOUBLE IN YOKOHAMA ROUT TO TAKE HIROSHIMA TOP

Sanfrecce Hiroshima returned to top spot in Japan on Sunday by thrashing Yokohama F Marinos 6-2 thrashing, with Tolgay Arslan scoring twice. Hiroshima climbed above Machida Zelvia on goal difference after last year's second division champions were held 0-0 by Consadole Sapporo on Saturday.

Defending champions Vissel Kobe are a point adrift of the leading pair after securing a 3-2 win over Albirex Niigata.

ULSAN'S K-LEAGUE LEAD CUT AFTER SCORELESS DRAW WITH INCHEON

Defending South Korean champions Ulsan HD saw their lead cut to two points after they were held 0-0 by Incheon United on Saturday.

Gimcheon Sangmu moved into second place with a 4-2 win over Suwon FC, goals from Lee Seung-won, Kim Seung-sub, Park Sang-hyeok and Lee Dong-gyeong moving the army side ahead of Gwangju FC.

Continental champions Al-Ain were held 1-1 by Al-Sadd from Qatar as Hernan Crespo's side kicked off their Asian Champions League Elite campaign, while Yokohama F Marinos, last year's runners-up, were thrashed 7-3 by Gwangju FC.
