Perak, Terengganu eye return to winning ways in Super League

KUALA LUMPUR: Perak and Terengganu are both aiming to return to winning ways in the Super League as they face off at Manjung Stadium tomorrow.

In recent league matches, Perak suffered a 4-2 defeat to Sabah, while Terengganu extended their winless run to seven games after a 1-0 loss to Kedah.

Perak coach Yusri Che Lah said: "We're determined not to repeat the mistakes we made against Sabah. Our goal is to remain in the top six."

Terengganu sit third in the 13-team standings with 17 points, while Perak are sixth with 15 points.

Perak have failed to beat Terengganu in their last eight encounters since 2021. However, Terengganu's poor form this season could give Perak a chance to turn the tables.

Meanwhile, KL City will look to avenge their FA Cup round-of-16 loss against Kuching City in tomorrow's match at the Sarawak State Stadium.

The City Boys are in solid form, having won their last three matches.

KL City coach Miroslav Kuljanac said: "We're heading to Kuching with a clear game plan, and we anticipate an exciting match."

Kuching, however, are equally keen on taking three points, especially after their FA Cup success against KL City.

Kuching coach Aidil Sharin Sahak said: "We want the three points, but it won't be easy.

"KL City are on a good run. They play a physical game and have many naturalised players. We need to stay focused and reward our fans with a win."

Kuching are seventh in the standings with 15 points, just above KL City in eighth with 14 points.
