KUALA LUMPUR: Was it the wording or was it the way the letter was written?
Anyway, the Malaysian Football League (MFL) kicked the letter back to n KLFA.
On Aug 5, the First Instance Body (FIB) docked KL City six points apart from a RM100,000 fine for submitting inaccurate document for national club licensing.
KLFA president Syed Yazid Syed Omar insisted that they had sent a letter of appeal to the MFL who, however, said it was a notice of intent (to appeal) instead.
The MFL said in a statement today: "On Aug 12, KL City sent a letter to the MFL in response to the FIB's decision, which was dated Aug 5.
"However, this letter titled 'Notice of Intention to Appeal FIB Decision', was not an official appeal but a notification of the club's intention to appeal.
"The club indicated that they would provide detailed plans and proposals after the election of a new KLFA president," read the statement.
Yesterday, the MFL received a new letter from KL City, dated Oct 23 titled "Appeal Against FIB Decision on KL City".
