KUALA LUMPUR: Australian football expert Sacha Pisani, senior digital producer for the A-League, has said that Peter Cklamovski will become Harimau Malaya's new head coach after the Asean Cup next month.
In a post on X, Pisani said: "Malaysia's new head coach will be Aussie Peter Cklamovski after leaving FC Tokyo at the end of the J-League season. The 46-year-old has been in Asia since 2018. The FA of Malaysia is set to unveil a ground-breaking project aimed at restructuring Malaysian football, with Tim Cahill to be involved too."
On Sunday, Timesport reported that Cklamovski could be linked to the new Harimau Malaya project, which is expected to be officially announced soon.
Cklamovski recently resigned from his post at FC Tokyo, which was confirmed by the Japanese club on Nov 11. The Australian has been based in Asia since 2018 and was the assistant to former Australia national team coach Ange Postecoglou.
