KUALA LUMPUR: Despite having already secured their titles in race one yesterday, Nakarin Atiratphuvapat and Helmi Azman both reasserted their dominance in race two of the final round of the MAM Malaysia Superbike Championships today (Dec 15).
Nakarin (Honda Racing Thailand) claimed his sixth consecutive race victory of the season in the MSBK1000 A class, crossing the finish like more than six seconds ahead of second placed Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin (Yamaha Tekhne Racing Team) at Sepang Circuit.
Azroy Hakeem Anuar (Boon Siew Honda Racing Team) finished third (+36.298s).
In the MSBK600 category, Helmi Azman (Boon Siew Honda Racing Team) claimed his seventh race win of the season after pipping teammate Syarifuddin Azman to the finish line.
Thanat Laoongplio (Honda Racing Thailand) finished third (+19.767s).
The MSBK250 A class saw Ahmad Afif Amran (Yamaha Tekhne Racing Team) winning the race just ahead of Haziq Fairues (+0.908s, Boon Siew Honda Racing Team) with Singaporean Jazil Juraimi (+0.909s) completing the podium.
Indonesian Irfan Ardiansyah (Honda NWN SCK Racing Team) finished fourth (+1.287s) but it was still enough for him to secure the overall title on 132 points.
