Sepak takraw team aim for one gold at Asian Games

BANGI: The national sepak takraw team believe they can win a gold medal at the Indonesia Asian Games in August.

Coach Abdul Talib Ahmad said his players are preparing hard as they are determined to make an impression in Indonesia.

"I have reminded my players that they need to work hard to achieve the gold medal target.

"Thailand are not the only rivals we should be concerned about. South Korea and hosts Indonesia have also improved a lot," said Abdul Talib.

He added that the Sepak Takraw Association of Malaysia are now evaluating the 16 players in camp for the Asian Games.

"We will name our 12-member squad next month," he added.
