KUALA LUMPUR: Golfer Kelly Tan recorded her maiden international professional win at the Symetra Tour’s Natural Charity Classic in Florida on Sunday.
The 25-year-old, who won the PGM Tour’s Perlis Championships in January, capped a championship performance by sinking a birdie putt on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff with American Demi Runas.
The Malaysian, who is now third in the standings, earned US$18,750 (RM76,544) for her efforts.
“I’m still trying to compose myself, it is really great for me winning here,” said Kelly, who set the 54-hole tournament scoring record with a 13-under total (203).
