KUALA LUMPUR: What a joke!
Cambodia recorded one of the biggest upsets in snooker today by winning the Sea Games doubles gold medal in Phnom Penh.
Cambodia's Chhay Suon-Sophanith Men defeated reigning world amateur champions Moh Keen Hoo-Lim Kok Leong 3-1 (69-0, 13-107, 72-35, 60-28) to clinch the doubles title.
It was Cambodia first-ever gold medal in Sea Games snooker.
When contacted, Malaysian Snooker and Billiards Federation president Melvin Chia said: "Kok Leong can't play... totally out.
"He has not been playing well of late. He is mentally not strong."
Keen Hoo, who won the six-red title a few days ago, said: "Cambodia played well today. We tried out best."
