KUALA LUMPUR: The 886-athlete China team added another nine gold medals today (as of 3pm) to lead the medal standings with a haul of 29-11-5 at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The team added gold in rowing, modern pentathlon and shooting.
South Korea remain second with five gold, seven silver and six bronze. Their five gold came from fencing, modern pentathlon and taekwondo.
Japan are third with three gold, 10 silver and seven bronze, followed by Uzbekistan (3-4-3) and Hong Kong (2-2-6).
Malaysia have yet to win a medal.
