Local game designers conjure 'Pocong' to haunt PUBG mobile players

KUALA LUMPUR: PUBG Mobile, a popular battle royale video game, launched a Malaysian Ghost Stories collection called 'Jelmaan,' which means sightings, today in conjunction with the Halloween celebration this month.

According to a statement from the game developer, Tencent Games, players will be thrilled to roam the battleground and haunt their enemies with the limited 'Pocong' set, specially designed by talented local game designers.

It said that the set, available until Nov 11, features four haunting items: 'The Restless Pocong' (outfit set), 'The Pocong Shadow' (the DBS gun), 'The Pocong Wanderer' (a backpack), and 'Elusive Pocong' (a frying pan).

"As the most beloved shotgun among the community, the DBS has transformed into a fearsome weapon for this event, allowing players to take down enemies and dominate the battlegrounds.

The 'Pocong' set is at Mythic level and can only be obtained via the lucky chance event. Each attempt costs as low as 10 UC (unknown cash), so players don't have to worry about breaking the bank," the statement added.

Meanwhile, Tencent Games Country Manager (Malaysia), Eugene Chin Yuan Hao in the same statement shared his enthusiasm, saying that they always pay attention to their PUBG MOBILE community on what makes them enjoy the game even more.

He said the introduction of these characters strengthens their mission to make PUBG MOBILE tailored for Malaysians.
