KUALA LUMPUR: Top seed S. Sivasangari blew her chance to win the US$64,000 Malaysia Cup title after losing to world No. 10 Amina Orfi of Egypt in the women's final at the Curve Mall in Petaling Jaya today.
The 17-year-old Amina, a three-time world junior champion, displayed maturity by bouncing back from a game down to win 8-11, 11-9, 12-10, 8-11, 11-6 in 88 minutes.
Second seed Amina took home US$9,025 for her effort, while world No. 9 Sivasangari pocketed US$5,700.
