DRB-Hicom hosts Media Bowling Challenge 2024 to strengthen ties

KUALA LUMPUR: DRB-Hicom Berhad organised the Media Bowling Challenge 2024 at Ampang Superbowl, Berjaya Times Square, drawing participation from 32 teams comprising 128 players from various media organisations.

The annual event, aimed at enhancing relationships between DRB-Hicom and media professionals, saw the participation of the company's chief communication officer, Cairil Irwan Amir, alongside other staff.

Speaking at the event, Cairil said: "We have plans to continue organising activities like this to foster stronger relationships between DRB-Hicom and the media in a fun and casual setting."

This year's tournament marked a return to pre-pandemic traditions, with previous events held in the Klang Valley and Kuantan.

Makkal Osai emerged as the overall champion, taking home RM2,000 in Aeon vouchers and RM600 in Petronas gift cards. Other top winners included:

- Bernama TV (2nd place): RM1,600 Aeon vouchers and RM400 Petronas gift cards.

- Buletin Utama TV3 (3rd place): RM1,200 Aeon vouchers and RM200 Petronas gift cards.

- Astro Awani (4th place): RM800 Aeon vouchers and RM200 Petronas gift cards.

- BH Tigers (5th place): RM400 Aeon vouchers and RM200 Petronas gift cards

In the individual categories, Fauzi Hashim (BH Tigers) won the Top Bowler title, while Durairaju Kanarajan (Makkal Osai) and Sharifah Omar (Metro Rangers) were recognised as the male and female players with the most strikes, respectively.

The grand lucky draw prize — a Modenas Kriss 110cc motorcycle — was awarded to Muhammad Eimeerul Mazlan from Utusan Malaysia.

Cairil personally handed over the prizes to all winners.
