Four Vietnamese airports to suspend operations as Typhoon Trami approaches

HANOI: Four airports in Vietnam are set to temporarily halt operations due to Typhoon Trami, following a directive from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

According to Vietnam News Agency (VNA), the CAAV has announced closures at Phu Bai International Airport from 6am to 10pm on Oct 27, Da Nang International Airport from 6am on Oct 27 to 4am on Oct 28, Dong Hoi Airport from 6am to 7pm on Oct 27, and Chu Lai Airport from 10am on Oct 27 to 10am on Oct 28.

Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation has been instructed to ensure safety protocols are in place and to issue timely notifications to relevant agencies. Regional airport authorities have also been tasked with closely monitoring safety measures.

The CAAV has requested that any arising issues during the suspension be reported immediately for necessary adjustments.– BERNAMA-VNA
