ACCA appoints new Malaysia country head

KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has appointed Edward Ling as the Malaysia Country Head with immediate effect.

He will focus on strengthening and developing the association’s relations with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, learning partners, universities and colleges, employers, and key government stakeholders.

He began his career in ACCA as a branch manager in Kuching in 2004 and over the last 13 years, rose to serve the organisation in various capacities.

“In his role as the Regional Head of Business Development, Ling demonstrated a unique ability to lead and inspire change. It has been a joy to work with him in bringing positive changes to the different markets within the Asia Pacific.

“His deep knowledge of the markets and industry coupled with strong demonstration of ACCA values make him the ideal candidate to lead the Malaysian team,” said ACCA Asia Pacific Director, Leong Soo Yee in a statement today. – Bernama
