MARKET PULSE PM JANUARY 16, 2025 [WATCH]

Bursa Malaysia reversed its earlier gains to close broadly lower today, dragged down by significant foreign selling.

Despite the sell-off, market sentiment is expected to stabilise, supported by a series of positive developments on the horizon.

As such, the FBM KLCI is anticipated to trade within the range of 1,550 to 1,560 heading into the weekend.

Meanwhile, the ringgit weakened against the US dollar, trading at 4.5020.

In the crypto market, Bitcoin climbed to RM442,000, buoyed by optimism over softer US inflation data.

Ethereum was trading higher at RM14,854, and Solana was up at RM892.

That's it for Market Pulse.
