MARKET PULSE AM JAN 31, 2025 [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: News on stock, crypto and ringgit moves.

Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Friday, despite Wall Street's positive close.

Analysts said the index continued its downtrend ahead of the Chinese New Year break as investors are concerned about disruptions from Deepseek on the hyper-scalers' AI investments going forward.

The benchmark index is projected to trade within the 1,550–1,560 range.

Among the most actively traded stocks at the opening were Gamuda, YTL Power and Datasonic.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin is trading at RM461,202, while Ethereum stands at RM14,371

That's it for Market Pulse.
