A new international mobile platform for transfering money, WorldRemit, has made its entry into Malaysia's remittance industry.
According to the company, the move will allow people to send their money by cash pick-up, bank transfer, mobile money or air-time top up. Available on both Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store, the WorldRemit mobile application is available for free and allows customers to transfer money online in a matter of minutes to more than 130 countries from Malaysia.
The WorldRemit app also allows users to manage their transfers once it has already been made. There are a few features that can be used for this purpose.
For example, Transfer History allows users to view all ongoing and completed transfers and download receipts. With Transfer Status, users can check where their money is, every step of the way.
They can even opt for Whatsapp updates for their transfer status. For users who'd like to transfer money to a previous recipient, they can simply choose to Resend Transfer.
The company said besides enabling users to conduct their transfers in a matter of minutes on any kind of device (mobile or laptop), transparency is also guaranteed because all fees and exchange rates are displayed up front.
