KUALA LUMPUR: Fashion critic Zaihani Mohd Zain comes under fire for her less than savoury body shaming statement on her Facebook recently.
After attending a fashion show held here recently, she wrote: “Kalau berat badan melebihi 60kg, tak payah lah datang, sebab nya peha awak tu melimpah kat kerusi sebelah kiri dan kanan awak. It’s so awkward and uncomfortable for the persons seated next to you!!!”
(If you weigh more than 60kg, please don’t attend fashion events, as your huge thighs would take so much room causing people seating beside you to be uncomfortable).
Her rather elitist comment had drawn flaks from both Netizens and even local fashion designers.
Kak Bam wrote: “Kalau usia tu hampir mencecah/melebihi 60 tahun, tak payah lah datang terkinja-kinja ke pertunjukan fesyen, pergi belajar agama lagi bagus. It’s so awkward and uncomfortable bila usia senja-senja ni tak reti nak insaf.”
Dara Raziana commented: “Klu mulut tak jahat, mesti org respect sbb wlupun dah lanjut usia msh aktif. Unfortunately...”.
Another Netizen pointed out that even Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is retiring soon, hinting that Zaihani should also consider doing so too.
Zaihani is currently a Mentor on Astro Ria’s reality show called Gen F which seeks to unearth new talents in the Malaysian fashion designing industry.
