KUALA LUMPUR: On her recent brush with the law, popular actress Uqasha Senrose made it loud and clear by saying: “The case is closed and everything has been settled.”
This was with regards to her arrest by the police to assist in the investigation of Eramin 5 drugs that were allegely found in her handbag on May 6.
The 25-year-old artiste was reported to have said that the unfortunate incident was an eye-opener that had matured her in her ongoing journey as a popular figure in the entertainment industry.
“In actuality, there was nothing to it at all. I just don’t want this issue to be dug up again. No need to dwell on it. It’s time for me now to focus on my acting career,”she said.
Uqasha said that she would be more careful of who she mixes with from now on.
She said: “Everything depends on our own stand. I will make sure I stay away from negative instances.”
She also pointed out one good thing that had emerged from this unwanted fracas.
“This incident has served to strengthen my relationship with my family members who have been very supportive throughout,” she said.
The abovementioned drugs were alleged to have been discovered in her handbag after the actress was involved in a car accident on Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
City police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim was reported to have issued a statement saying that a urine test done on Uqasha had turned up negative for drugs.
The actress was released after her statement was recorded.
