KUALA LUMPUR: Perhaps not wanting to be labelled a wooden actor anymore, popular artiste Fattah Amin has finally decided to focus on quality rather than quantity.
The 27-year-old actor was recently quoted in an entertainment portal that he would now settle a project first before accepting another offer.
“If possible, I want to be really prepared by spending time to understand what the script really wants and spend enough time to practise for all the drama series and films which I will star in,” he said.
Fattah, who is married to award-winning actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, also added that he started to take the risk of accepting less offers so that he could fully concentrate on improving his acting skills since his marriage last November.
The star of the 2017 hit drama series Hero Seorang Cinderella added that he had also been offered to act alongside Fazura again, but maintained that he would still need to look at the script before agreeing.
“There are several things for us to consider before saying yes, and if a good opportunity arises, why not? But at the moment, since both of us have different career directions, we’d rather focus on our priorities first," he said.
The couple first paired off in the Michael Ang-directed drama series Hero Seorang Cinderella, which also saw them falling in love for real. They later acted together again in the TV movie Wanita Terindah, directed by Joon Goh.
Meanwhile, Fattah, who is also a singer with a few singles under his belt, had recently signed with Universal Music Malaysia, under its 360 talent mangagement arm.
His wife Fazura and fellow artiste Alvin Chong are two other Malaysian artistes who have been signed by the record label for a similar deal.
