KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Shukri Yahaya received a smack on the shoulder by a senior citizen who was unamused with his indecency.
The incident took place last Tuesday at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang.
It all started when the elderly man and his family members were making their way towards the departure gate. When he spotted Shukri holding hands with another man, without hesitating, he smacked Shukri on the shoulder and warned him not to commit “maksiat” (vice) in public.
A little shocked by what had transpired, Shukri explained that he was in the midst of filming a scene for a new drama series titled Split.
The entire incident was recorded on a 17-minute video by Hlive! host Elly Ariffin, who was also in the cast of the series.

The following day, the senior citizen’s daughter identified as @Iedaa31 apologised to Shukri on behalf of her father via Twitter.
She wrote: “My father apologises for smacking you, he didn’t realise you were merely acting. Sorry.”
“Best wishes to your father, he’s the best,” replied Shukri.
Elly uploaded the video of the incident on her Instagram with the caption: “We were all shocked to see Shukri slapped on the shoulder by that ‘pakcik’. It was spontaneous yet entertaining!”
The post received lots of feedback from Netizens with some even suggested that the ‘pakcik’ be given a cameo role in Split.
