KUALA LUMPUR: Controversial entrepreneur-turned-singer Datuk Aliff Syukri was pleasantly surprised to receive RM53,000 from Google Malaysia recently.
The 31-year-old credited his hard-earned cash to his blog (www.abangterlajaklaris.my) and YouTube channel, TV Terlajak Laris.
The YouTube channel has close to 340,000 subscribers. His videos have garnered thousands of views as Netizens flock to catch the latest on Aliff and his personal life.
His Bobo Di Mana lyrics video drew a whopping 17 million views.
In a video posted on the channel recently, the 31-year-old walked into his office proudly carrying an envelope which contained the moolah and shared the good news with his staff and wife, Datin Nur Shahida Mohd Rashid.
“Thank you to Google Malaysia for rewarding me with this money, it’s all thanks to the constant criticism I often receive.
In the background, his staff was heard saying: “Please continue bashing him with negative comments.”
He then proceeded to walk around the office handing out RM50 notes to his staff, much to their delight.
