KUALA LUMPUR: Popular K-Pop group Seventeen will not be performing on Feb 22 at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil due to health and safety concerns in light of the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak.
An announcement on the cancellation of the 13-member South Korean music group’s concert here was made by show organiser, iMe Malaysia, yesterday.
A statement on its facebook page read: “In view on the seriousness of the current coronavirus infection, the artiste, staff and fans’ safety and health are our top priorities.
After much consideration, we (iMe Malaysia) have come into an agreement with the artiste management, Pledis Entertainment, and are deeply sorry to announce that SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR
The organiser added that fans, dubbed Carat by the fandom, who had already purchased tickets to the now cancelled concert would be able to receive a full refund from TicketCharge.
The statement ended with: “Full refund details will be updated soonest possible. Please stay tuned to iMe MY’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest update. We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your kind understanding.”
