#Showbiz: Azhan Rani turns down handsome side income

KUALA LUMPUR: Even though he knows he can easily make bank doing product reviews on social media, actor Azhan Rani has no desire to do so.

Known for his convincing portrayal of Ustaz Hamadi on popular drama series Nur and Nur 2, the 44-year-old artiste is simply concerned about becoming a great actor someday.

This was his reason for not embarking on making product reviews even though he admitted that he had received almost 30 offers throughout the movement control order (MCO).

"It has since become a trend for product owners to engage artistes to promote their products. However, for the time being, I have no intention to follow in the footsteps of my fellow celebrity friends," he said in a news report today.

"I don't want to lose focus. As a serious actor, my career is my priority. This is my choice as I don't think I can juggle like the others," he said.

Azhan also did not feel that he was qualified to conduct acting classes just yet or even try his hands at directing or scriptwriting.

"There are still many characters that I've yet to play. So my focus is purely on acting right now," said the artiste who started acting in theatre and lending his voice for radio dramas on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
