KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Wan Aishah Wan Ariffin, who is recuperating from Covid-19, is in stable condition despite suffering from an infection.
Aishah Fan Club president Dr Nazlin Nadzri said that the 56-year-old songstress, who is resting in Ampang Hospital underwent a CT scan which revealed that her lungs had been infected, and required antibiotics.
"Aishah's oxygen level has improved a lot and is now at 97 per cent. Her doctors said that she needs to take antibiotics and rest longer," said Dr Nazlin in a news report yesterday.
Dr Nazlin also told Aishah's friends and fans not to worry, as the veteran singer was in good spirits and would be "all right".
Aishah was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Ampang Hospital on Aug 30 after being tested positive for Covid-19.
Her oxygen level dropped drastically, and she subsequently expressed her worries of being placed under an induced coma in an Instagram video.
Aishah said that she felt emotionally fragile after seeing another patient in the same ward as hers being wheeled out to be intubated.
