#Showbiz: Singer Amelina ties the knot?

KUALA LUMPUR: As a result of a TikTok video uploaded recently by a makeup artiste of singer Amelina, 47, dressed in a white lacy ensemble complete with a veil, many congratulated her.

However, some questioned the truth behind the photos.

Amelina whose full name is Norazlina Amir Sharipuddin, in a news report yesterday, said that the photos and video of her looking like a bride were not from a real wedding, but had been taken during the filming of a TV drama Akad Ibu Sejadah Rindu.

"I have no idea how it became viral. If indeed I were to get married again, I would prefer to have it in a grand scale, seeing that the last time I did, it was a simple affair across the border," she said.

Amelina said that at her age, and with her past experience, she would only take the plunge if she had someone who really cared and understood her.

"I'm still traumatised from my previous marriage which was nothing like the romantic drama series you see on TV," said the single mother of six.

She married Reduan Mahamood in Songkhla, Thailand in 1999, but they divorced in 2016.
