#Showbiz: Kenny G to perform in Genting Highlands in April

KUALA LUMPUR: World renowned saxophonist Kenny G is returning here for a one-night only concert on April 2 at Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting.

In a press statement today, the upcoming performance is to replace his concert originally planned for 2020, which was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 66-year-old artiste who shot to fame in the 1980s with ballads such as Songbird, Silhouette, and Sentimental, has remained active in the music scene and stayed connected with fans up until today.

Besides his many tour dates, the instrumentalist had also managed to release the album New Standards in 2021, featuring 11 original compositions inspired by the jazz ballads of the 1950s and 1960s.

The artiste whose full name is Kenny Gorelick has stayed current through unexpected music crossovers with megastars which included Kanye West and The Weeknd in recent years which attracted and appealed to newer fans.
