#Showbiz: Stacy to have maiden solo concert at DFP on Feb 25

KUALA LUMPUR: Prestigious concert hall Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP), KLCC will be hosting Akademi Fantasia 6 winner Stacy Anam's first solo concert at 8.30pm on Feb 25.

Part of DFP's efforts to feature more local talents, it marks Stacy's second appearance at the concert hall. She last performed there in a patriotic-themed concert with various artistes a decade ago.

Penampang-born Stacy or Ummu Shaikhah won the sixth season of Akademi Fantasia in 2008, the first Sabahan to win the Astro reality talent show.

With four studio albums to her credit, Stacy, 32, has won several awards at Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian such as Popular New Female Singer in 2008 and Popular Female Singer in 2014.

She also won Best Album Cover at Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) 2014 and Best Music Video at AIM 2016.

Her songs Aku Stacy (2009), Pakai Buang (2010), Jahat (2011), Pelangi Senja (2013), Bosan (2014), Gilalah (2015) and Not For Sale (2016) made it to the annual music chart awards Anugerah Juara Lagu.

The mother of three said that the concert would mark her comeback to the big stage after slowing down over the last decade to focus on motherhood.

"It will be an amazing show. I'm delivering my 16 songs Broadway style and I'll get to sway with six dancers and nine musicians throughout the concert," said Stacy when interviewed at DFP today.

Stacy will debut a new single Teriak and sing a duet with her singer-actor husband Akim Ahmad who was Akademi Fantasia 7 second runner-up.
