#Showbiz: S. Korean artiste Lim Siwan to act in 'Squid Game' S2?

KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean singer-actor Lim Siwan is reportedly to act in the second season of "Squid Game".

Lim most recently starred in the Netflix thriller film "Unlocked", and is also awaiting the premiere of the film "1947 Boston", which is expected to open in South Korean cinemas in September.

According to Allkpop, apart from this piece of information all other details about the sequel to the phenomenal 2021 TV series are still under wraps.

It is believed that the production budget for the sequel is close to KRW100 billion (about RM361 million) and that filming is scheduled to begin this summer.

However, Netflix Korea has declined to comment on the rumours regarding the 34-year-old celebrity's casting in Squid Game S2.

Previously, director and writer Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed that Lee Jung-jae (who played the main character Seong Gi-hun) and Lee Byung-hun (Hwang In-ho) will reprise their roles.
