#Showbiz: Coldplay adds 5th Singapore show after selling most concert tickets in a day

KUALA LUMPUR: British rock band Coldplay has announced an unprecedented fifth show at the Singapore National Stadium for January next year after four pre-sales were sold out within hours recently.

Concert promoter Live Nation Singapore announced the news of the fifth show, set to take place on Jan 30 at the National Stadium in a statement today. The previously announced shows were set for January 23, 24, 26 and 27.

General tickets to all five shows begin at 10am tomorrow via Ticketmaster.

Over 200,000 pre-sale tickets were sold within a day, and Live Nation Singapore has also issued a warning to fans to beware of "scalpers" reselling their tickets.

"We would like to caution members of the public against purchasing tickets from unauthorised sellers or third party websites. By purchasing tickets through these points of sale, buyers take on the risk that the validity of the tickets cannot be guaranteed, with no refunds possible," said Live Nation Singapore in a statement.
