#Showbiz: Puteri Sarah, Ira Kazar settle dispute out of court

KUALA LUMPUR: The lawsuit by actress Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin against her former husband Syamsul Yusof's wife Ira Kazar has been amicably settled out of court today.

Her lawyer Puteri Ummi Kartini Abd Latiff said that both parties had informed the Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Norakhmar Mohd Sani who approved the settlement.

She told Harian Metro Online that the court had recorded the settlement between Puteri Sarah, 38 and Ira or Faghira Fatini Kazaruddin, 28.

"I represented the plaintiff Puteri Sarah while Ira Kazar the defendant was represented by Ammar Ghalip," she said.

On June 14, actor and director Syamsul, 39 and Puteri Sarah were divorced at the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Lower Court.

In June last year Puteri Sarah filed a lawsuit against Ira at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for allegedly disturbing her marriage to Syamsul.

A month later the court issued an inter-parte injunction that stopped Ira from staying less than 500m away from Puteri Sarah, Syamsul and their families.

Syamsul and Puteri Sarah were married on March 8, 2014 and have two children Syaikhul Islam, 6 and Sumayyah, 4.

On Jan 6, Syamsul admitted that he had married Ira in Thailand.
