#SHOWBIZ: Amira Othman almost got married once

FOR the first time, singer Amira Othman has shared details about a past relationship that was expected to lead to marriage but ended midway.

Amira, 31, revealed that she chose to keep the relationship and breakup private to maintain her peace.

"We were on close to formalising our relationship, but Allah knows best.

"This is the first time I'm opening up about my love journey.

"I kept it private out of respect for the other party," she told BH Online.

Amira said that there were no conflicts between them and that she valued staying calm and focused after the breakup.

"I didn't want to talk about it because it's not appropriate for a woman to dwell on such things.

"My family also prefers to avoid unnecessary attention," she added.

Despite the heartbreak, Amira continued her work as usual.

"I accepted the situation and met fans the next day. By keeping quiet, I found the healing process easier and less painful.

"It was enough that my parents knew about it," she said.

During a recent event, Amira introduced her new single, 'Bila Nak Kahwin', with an accompanying music video featuring actor Fattah Amin.

The song, produced by Sony Music Malaysia in collaboration with Emiera Othman Ventures, was inspired by frequent questions about her relationship status.

"I wrote this song as a response to the constant 'When will you get married?' questions I receive during TikTok live sessions.

"It's something personal to me."

Amira also addressed speculation about her rumored romance with Fattah Amin.

"I understand this gimmick might spark mixed reactions, but I hope it doesn't offend anyone.

"If it does, I apologise," she said.

Previously, Amira was rumored to have a close friendship with Fattah after his divorce from actress Nur Fazura.
