#SHOWBIZ: Siti Nurhaliza plans to sell kuih from home during Ramadan

KUALA LUMPUR: Pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has expressed her desire to sell kuih from home during Ramadan, reliving one of her fondest childhood memories.

Siti, 46, said that she asked her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Jiwa, for permission to do so, but he suggested that she give out kuih to needy people instead.

In a recent live session on TikTok, Siti said: "I told my husband that I wanted to start a business, to sell kuih in front of the house this Ramadan.

"Our maid is also good at making kuih, so I can make good use of my free time doing business from home."

She said that Khalid suggested she just give the kuih to others as charity.

"My husband said it was better to give the kuih to others as charity, I replied that both could be done, on different occasions, but Ramadan was an ideal time to sell kuih specially for those who needed it most."

Siti had earlier said that when she was a teenager she always helped her mother sell kuih in her hometown of Kuala Lipis, Pahang.
