#SHOWBIZ: Pray for my child's recovery - Amyza Aznan

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Amyza Aznan, 50, is asking for prayers for the recovery of her eldest son, Andre Mikhail, who is currently receiving treatment in hospital due to fluid in his lungs.

According to Harian Metro, Amyza took to Instagram to share a message sent by Andre regarding his health condition after a discussion with the doctor.

"I just ask for prayers for my son, Andre Mikhail, to recover," she wrote in the caption.

The mother of two also thanked everyone who prayed for her son.

"Thank you for praying for my son," she wrote.

Looking at the comments section, many celebrity friends left prayers for Andre to recover quickly and for Amyza and her family to be strong.

"Masya-Allah, may Allah give you strength and a speedy recovery," commented Azhan Rani.

"Hopefully it will be easier for Amyza's child," wrote Darling Ngasri.

"Allahuakbar. May he be well and be given healing. Amin," said Kodi Rashid.

In a media interview, Amyza said that she and her family did not suspect that her son's illness was serious because Andre was active in sports.

"Actually, he has been complaining of shoulder pain for over a month. We thought his shoulder pain was just muscle pain because he is an active sportsman. He plays golf and snooker.

"He has been to the clinic several times to take painkillers and to undergo other tests, but the results were all okay.

"However, the pain persisted, including a fever and a long-lasting cough," she said.

Amyza said her son also experienced shortness of breath when walking and the symptoms caused Andre to be rushed to the hospital where the doctor informed him that there was fluid in his lungs.
