KOTA KINABALU: Sirap Bandung or rose milk was the beverage sought after by a group of Taiwanese tourists who attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the state palace here today.
Tourist Chen Loi Ting, who came to Sabah some nine years ago, said he had brought his 14 family members, aged between 5 and 68, to celebrate the festival here.

“We were told this drink is usually served during Hari Raya. We never tried rose milk before.
“The food here is unique and delicious too.
“My family like the atmosphere here. Something that we rarely see in Taipei,” he said.
Chen and his family were among 5,000 local and foreign visitors who attended the annual Hari Raya open house hosted by Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Sabah Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.
Also present were Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and his deputies Datuk Seri Wilfred Tangau, Datuk Christina Liew and Datuk Jaujan Sambakong, other Sabah cabinet ministers, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law) Minister Datuk V. K. Liew and International Trade and Industry minister Datuk Darell Leiking.
