Honda brings in the 2022 Odyssey from Japan

KUALA LUMPUR: The new 2022 Honda Odyssey enters the Malaysian market as an import (Completely Built Up, CBU) model from Japan.

"The introduction of the new Odyssey caters to the needs of customers such as families and executives who seek a luxury seven-seater Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) with excellent ride comfort, elegant exterior and unrivalled utility features, all in one package," said Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Madoka Chujo.

Other than inheriting the DNA of its predecessors the exterior comes with a new front grille, LED head lights with position lights, front and rear bumper design, tail light design, front and rear sequential turn signal lights and a new 17-inch alloy wheel design.

The interior features a new dashboard design with storage compartment, a new 7-inch TFT Meter, and 8-inch Advanced Display Audio with Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM (Android Auto will be available upon its official launch of the service in Malaysia) connectivity.

It is offered with leather (Combination Leather) with its second row fitted with Captain Cradle Seat and Ottoman. Seats also offer the flexibility to accommodate multiple configurations as they can be folded forward and backward to optimise seating arrangement.

Cargo has been given easier access with the Hands-free Power Tailgate feature at the back with a kick motion under the rear bumper.

Equipped with advanced safety features of Honda Sensing, the new Odyssey has Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Auto High Beam (AHB).

Other safety features include Multi View Camera System with Smart Parking Assist, Blind Spot Information, and Cross Traffic Monitor.

Priced at RM275,311 (on-the-road price without insurance, the Sales Tax Exemption period ends on June 30. Terms and Conditions apply) the MPV is available in three colours: Platinum White Pearl, Premium Twinkle Black Pearl and Super Platinum Metallic.

The Odyssey was first introduced globally in 1994 and made its way to the Malaysian market in 2003. Honda Malaysia has since sold close to 2,000 units of the MPV to date.
